This elegant and striking summer border will reward you with a long season of interest, extending from late spring to late summer, while requiring very little care. Framed between the tall and distinguished blooms of Golden Oats (Stipa gigantea) and the low-growing delicate seedheads of Feather Grass (Stipa tenuissima) are the bright carmine blossoms of Crocosmia. Not represented here, but a wonderful addition to this planting would be a few Alliums with their eye-catching purple spheric flowers. Blooming in late spring or early summer, they would add color and contrast to the planting, until the crimson flowers of Crocosmia emerge in summer.
Low maintenance and easy to replicate. Enjoy!
