Very floriferous and long-lasting, Campanula punctata ‘Cherry Bells’ is an upright clump-forming perennial with long, hanging, cherry-red bells, adorned with creamy edges outside and purple freckles inside. Blooming from early to mid-summer, the flowers are borne in terminal racemes atop erect to gracefully arching stems. They rise above basal rosettes of rounded, toothed, mid-green leaves. Loved by hummingbirds, this eye-catching Bellflower is perfect for rock gardens, and cottage gardens and can spread quite rapidly into a dense groundcover.

  • Grows up to 12-24 in. tall (30-60 cm) and 12-30 in. wide (30-45 cm). Spreads freely by both rhizomes and self-seeding under good growing conditions.
  • Thrives in full sun or part shade, in average, medium, well-drained soils. Prefers part shade in warmer climates. Needs regular moisture!
  • Ideal for beds, borders, groundcover, rock gardens, and cottage gardens. Great as fresh-cut flowers.
  • Easy to grow, virtually disease and pest free, this low-care perennial is also deer resistant.
  • Cut back after flowering. Divide clumps in fall every 3-4 years.
