Everbearing Strawberry 'Albion', Strawberry 'Albion'
A popular variety, Fragaria x ananassa ‘Albion’ (Everbearing Strawberry) is a day neutral variety. It is not affected by day length, allowing for continuous fruiting from late spring until first frost – anytime temperatures range between 35-85ºF (0-29ºC). Five-petaled white flowers adorned with yellow centers give way to long, conical, rich red berries of superior flavor. Resistant to verticillium wilt, Phytophthora crown rot, and relatively resistant to anthracnose crown rot. May remain evergreen in frost-free areas.
A strawberry patch is ravishing with its small mounds of fresh, green, pleated leaves which hide dangling, ruby-red fruits begging to be picked and enjoyed. This Everbearing Strawberry can be successfully grown in a container too. Excellent for pie, fresh eating and jams.
