Fuchsia ‘Annabel’

Standard Fuchsia, Summer bedding, Pots and Containers

AGM Award
Fuchsia Annabel, Hardy Fuchsia, Standard Fuchsia, Flowering Shrub, White Flowers, Pink Flowers

Free flowering, Award-winning Fuchsia ‘Annabel’ is an excellent upright, self branching Fuchsia cultivar with medium to large double flowers adorned with white sepals with pink tips and a full white corolla veined with pink. Blooming non-stop from early summer to fall, the pretty flowers hang gracefully from the nodding branches and contrast well with the large, light green, serrated leaves. Attractive to bees and hummingbirds, this flowering shrub makes a terrific full or quarter standard and is perfect as a summer bedding or container plant.

  • Recipient of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society.
  • Grows up to 24 in. tall and wide (60 cm).
  • A full sun to part shade lover, this plant is best grown in moist, fertile, well-drained soils. Provide a deep winter mulch and shelter from cold drying winds. Protect from the afternoon sun in hot climates.
  • Perfect for beds and borders or containers.
  • In early to mid-spring cut back the previous year’s flowering stems to within one or two buds of the older woody framework. Also remove any thin, weak or dead growth.
  • Stem cuttings are by far the easiest way of propagating fuchsias.
  • Watch for rust, capsid bug and caterpillars.
  • Standard types: Mini Standard – 6 to 10 inches (15-25 cm); Quarter Standard – 10 to 18 inches (25-45 cm); Half Standard – 18 to 30 inches (45-75 cm) and Full Standard – 30 to 42 inches (75- 105 cm). These measurements are taken from the compost level to where the bottom branch leaves the stem.
