Grevillea ‘Moonlight’

Moonlight' Grevillea

Grevillea 'Moonlight', 'Moonlight' Grevillea, Mediterranean shrubs, Evergreen Shrubs, White flowers, creamy flowers, drought tolerant flowers

A very popular hybrid Grevillea, Grevillea ‘Moonlight’ is a fast-growing, upright, bushy evergreen shrub with large, luminous ivory flowers over a long blooming season. Erectly held at the branch tips, the flower clusters can be as long as 10 in. (25 cm). Long-lasting, they are borne year-round in most regions. They supply birds and hummingbirds with a copious supply of nectar. Finely dissected and fern-like, the evergreen foliage is dark green on top and gray beneath, making a super backdrop for the many toothbrush-like blossoms. This plant is reliable in a wide range of climates ranging from humid to temperate with frosts. Frost hardy to 20°F (-6°C).

  • Grows with a dense habit to 8-12 ft. tall (240-360 cm) and 6-8 ft. wide (180-240 cm).
  • Easily grown in acidic, well-drained soils in full sun or part shade. Drought tolerant once established. Use little to no phosphorus fertilizer.
  • Deer resistant
  • Great as a specimen plant, hedge or screen, windbreak in Mediterranean gardens and xeriscape gardens.
  • Virtually disease free and pest free.
  • Regular pruning is recommended to promote a bushier, more compact habit.
  • Known to cause skin irritations on sensitive skin.
  • Native to Australia
