Picea omorika ‘Peve Tijn’ (Serbian Spruce) is a dwarf evergreen conifer of globe-shaped habit when young, developing into a small conical tree. It is clothed in a lush foliage of bright gold, green and light blue needles, which creates a unique tri-color effect. A slow grower, 1-3 in. per year (2-7 cm), this small Serbian Spruce is a breathtaking beauty year-round and makes a glorious accent in the rock garden.

  • Grows up to 6 ft. tall (180 cm) and 4 ft. wide (120 cm).
  • Performs best in full sun in moist, well-drained soils. Tolerates light shade. Generally prefers cool climates and will struggle in hot and humid climate areas. Tolerates air pollution.
  • Perfect as a distinctive specimen plant in the sunny garden.
  • Watch for adelgids, aphids or conifer red spider mite. Easy to grow and easy to care for.
  • No pruning required.
