Weigela florida Sonic Bloom® Pink is a striking deciduous shrub noted for its long blooming season. From spring until the first frost, hot pink flowers are produced in great quantities and literally cover the foliage of narrowly ovate, bright green leaves. The trumpet-like flowers are adored by hummingbirds. Deadheading is not necessary for rebloom. Easy to grow, this flowering shrub is perfect to add a splash of cheerful color in the sunny border.

  • Grows up to 4-5 ft. tall and wide (120-150 cm).
  • A full sun lover, this plant is best grown in moist, well-drained soils.
  • Plant as a specimen or in small groups. Perfect for borders, foundation plantings.
  • Pruning is best done immediately after flowering; little pruning is needed.
  • Generally disease free. Watch for leaf and bud eelworms. Seldom severely damaged by deer.
  • Propagate by softwood cuttings in early summer, semi-ripe cuttings in summer or hardwood cuttings in late autumn and winter.
