With a compact habit and extra-profuse blooms, Arctotis ‘Pumpkin Pie’ is a spectacular African Daisy exhibiting large, 4 in. wide (10 cm), bright orange daisy-like flowers surrounding a dark center disk and beautiful, finely cut, silvery-green foliage.  

  • Quite showy, this tender perennial is native to South Africa
  • Blooming continuously from late spring to frost (in hot areas, Arctotis will stop blooming in summer until the temperature cools off. Blooming will start again in fall), the flowers close at night and may only partially open up on cloudy days.
  • Growing in compact mounds about 10-12 in. tall and wide (25-30 cm), this plant performs best in full sun, in sandyconsistently moistwell-drained soils. It is drought tolerant once established.
  • Resilient to pests and diseases, Arctotis are great candidates for bordersrock gardens, or for containers.
  • Arctotis plants are hardy to USDA 9 – 11 and grown as annuals in cooler areas.
  • Deadhead spent flowers to promote additional blooms.
