Noted for its most pleasing shade, award-winning Campanula lactiflora ‘Loddon Anna’ (Milky Bellflower) is a clump-forming perennial with profuse rounded clusters of soft lilac-pink, bell-shaped flowers. Borne on sturdy stems clad with narrow, pointed leaves, they offer their graceful floral display from early to late summer. A great asset for beds and borders, this elegant cottage favorite will add interest to your sunny or partially shaded garden.

  • Recipient of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society
  • Typically grows in clumps up to 4 ft. tall (120 cm) and 2 ft. across (60 cm).
  • Thrives in full sun or part shade in average, moist, well-drained soils. Prefers part shade in warmer climates. Best in fertile, neutral to alkaline soils. May need staking in exposed sites.
  • Ideal for cottage gardens, it is perfect for beds and borders.
  • Easy to grow, this low care perennial is also deer and rabbit resistant!
  • No serious disease or pest issues, but watch for snails, slugs, rust or powdery mildews.
  • Cut back after flowering to prevent self-seeding and to encourage a second flush of flowers
  • Propagate by division in spring or autumn or take basal cuttings in spring
