Adding a bright spot of color in the garden, Coreopsis verticillata ‘Zesty Zinger’ (Threadleaf Coreopsis) is a compact perennial forming a rounded mound of finely divided, bright green, threadleaf foliage. Blooming from early to late summer, it produces a profusion of starry, ivory flowers, 1.5 in. across (4 cm), adorned with dark magenta centers which spread toward the edge of the petals. The blossoms are produced in such great quantities that they literally cover the foliage. Easy to grow, this Threadleaf Coreopsis is perfect for sunny perennial borders, mass plantings or patio containers. As an added bonus, one plant will provide you with long-lasting cut flower bouquets all summer long.
Zesty Zinger belongs to the Sizzle & Spice Series, which is noted for its compact, rounded habit and profuse flowers in bright colors from early to late summer.
