Ice Plant 'Gold Nugget'
Heat, drought and salt tolerant, Delosperma congestum ‘Gold Nugget’ (Ice Plant) is a mat-forming, evergreen succulent with a profusion of small brilliant yellow daisy-like flowers, 1 in. across (2.5 cm), in late spring to late summer. The blossoms are produced in such quantities that they literally cover the lush foliage of bright apple-green leaves. The foliage turns deep red in winter. The intensity of the flower color, combined with the long blooming season and evergreen foliage, reinforce the ornamental interest of this plant. A wonderful groundcover and an indispensable element of waterwise landscapes.
