Baja Bush Snapdragon
Endemic to Baja California, Galvezia juncea (Baja Bush Snapdragon) is a dense and fine-textured evergreen shrub with arching rush-like stems lined with small blue-green leaves. Blooming profusely in spring to summer, but also intermittently the rest of the year, narrow tubular red flowers, 1-2 in. long (2-5 cm), attract hummingbirds and butterflies. Easy to grow, heat and drought tolerant, Baja Bush Snapdragon is well suited for slopes, erosion control, and makes a great groundcover.
