A particularly showy addition to the shade garden, Hosta ‘Bridal Falls’ (Plantain Lily) is a medium-sized hosta variety with stunning variegated foliage. It forms a luminous, rounded mound of cascading, heart-shaped, green leaves with creamy white margins. The leaves are edged in pretty pie crust waves and have deeply impressed veins. Dainty, funnel-shaped lavender flowers appear in mid-summer, rising on scapes 44 in. tall (110 cm). ‘Bridal Falls’ makes a cheerful subject for plantings in the garden or mixed containers.

  • Grows up to 28 in. tall (70 cm) and 48 in. wide (120 cm).
  • Performs best in part shade to full shade in fertile, moist, well-drained soils. Shelter from cold, dry winds.
  • Perfect for the shade garden, mixed with other perennials in bed and borders, city gardens, and cottage gardens
  • Watch for slugs and snails which could damage the attractive foliage.
  • Cut off the stems after blooming to encourage the plant’s growth. Discolored leaves should be trimmed back to the ground.
  • Propagate by division in early spring or late summer.
  • Toxic to dogs, toxic to cats, toxic to horses.
