Potentilla ‘Flamenco’ (Cinquefoil)

Cinquefoil 'Flamenco', Five Fingers 'Flamenco'

Potentilla Flamenco, Cinquefoil 'Flamenco', Five Fingers 'Flamenco'', Red Potentilla, Red Flowers

Very free flowering, Potentilla ‘Flamenco’ (Cinquefoil) is a clump-forming, herbaceous perennial boasting showy, blood-red, 5-petaled flowers adorned with a dark center from late spring to late summer. Produced in abundance, the blossoms contrast nicely against the foliage mound of strawberry-like, medium-green leaves. Noted for its extremely long blooming season, this Cinquefoil is one of the easiest plants to care for. It is perfect for adding color to a sunny border.

  • Grows up to 1-2 ft. tall and wide (30-60 cm).
  • Performs best in full sun or part shade, in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Tolerates drought once established.
  • Virtually pest and disease free, it is also deer resistant.
  • Cinquefoil is very adaptable and an excellent choice for border fronts, cottage gardens, or rock gardens.
  • Cut back stems in fall.
