Plant Families / Abelia

Abelia
Abelias are deciduous or evergreen shrubs grown for their masses of long-lasting, tubular, pale pink to white flowers, which cover the plant from summer to fall. The foliage of Glossy Abelia (Abelia x grandiflora) is highly ornamental with its shining, oval leaves often turning rich shades of reddish maroon in fall. Graceful, these shrubs are very versatile and can be used as formal or informal hedges, foundation plantings, and in mixed borders. Deer resistant, pest and disease free, most Abelias are drought, heat and humidity tolerant.
