Helleborus (Hellebores) is a genus of most attractive perennials with very long-lasting (6 to 8 weeks) flowers in winter or very early spring. Easy to grow, Hellebores add a nice texture to a woodland or shady border. Fairly deer and rabbit resistant, they are also frost-resistant, shade tolerant and many are evergreen.
