Hypericum - St John's Wort

Noted for their bright yellow flowers adorned with prominent sunbursts of stamens, Hypericum can be annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees, evergreen or deciduous. Usually small in stature, with rich green leaves, they are easy to cultivate and useful for mass plantings, groundcovers, informal hedges and borders. Full sun or part shade lovers, deer resistant, low-care, some varieties even reward you with attractive colorful berries in the fall. They associate well with other shrubs and low perennials in mixed borders, patio pots as well as being grown specifically for cut flowers.
