Nymphaea (Water Lily) is a genus of hardy and tender aquatic perennials with floating, rounded leaves and incredibly ravishing flowers in a wide range of colors. Opening during the day or at night, the flowers rise out of the water or float on the surface. Cup- or bowl-shaped, the blossoms may be fragrant or may change color depending on the water temperature of the pond.

Nymphaea 'Albert Greenberg' (Tropical Water Lily)

Nymphaea 'Albert Greenberg' (Water Lily) is a day-blooming aquatic perennial boasting large, nearly round green leaves, heavily blotched purple, 18 in. across (45 cm), with wavy edges. Floating on the surface of the water, they create a lovely backdrop for the fragrant, cup-shaped flowers. Each luminous blossom, up to 6-7 in. across (15-17 cm), features several rows of yellow petals (20) with orange-pink tips surrounding a conspicuous bouquet of golden stamens.
