Polystichum - Ferns

Magnificent in the landscape, Polystichum (Shield Fern) are mostly evergreen or semi-evergreen ferns, with short stout rhizomes and lance-shaped, pinnate fronds in shuttlecock-like rosettes. These wonderful foliage plants offer a long season of interest and are all choice plants for the rock garden, shade garden, borders or as groundcovers. Easy to grow, Polystichum perform best in light shade and moist soil.
