Styrax

Mostly native to warm temperate to tropical regions of the Northern Hemisphere, Styrax is a genus of 100 or so species of deciduous or evergreen shrubs or trees. They boast simple, alternate leaves and pendulous clusters of fragrant, bell-shaped, white flowers in spring or summer. Usually pest and disease free, Styrax can be grown as a specimen and in a woodland garden. Their relatively compact habit make them also well suited for patios and small gardens.
