Veronica (Speedwell)

Veronica (Speedwell) is a low-care and easy-to-grow perennial with long spikes of tiny flowers in shades of purple, blue, pink, or white from spring to fall. Superb in bouquets, they also look lovely in the perennial border. Speedwells come in a rich variety of sizes, from low-spreading speedwells such as Veronica prostrata which grows to 10 inches tall to upright Veronica spicata whose brightly colored flower spikes reach 3 ft. in height. Speedwells thrive in full sun and moist, well-drained soil and are butterfly friendly.
