A Lovely Prairie Planting Idea with Echinacea, Perovskia and Miss Willmott's Ghost

Plant Combinations, Flowerbeds Ideas, Summer Borders, Prairie Plantings

Fairly easy to replicate, this lush prairie planting includes a few spectacular elements which thrive on neglect while providing striking color and contrast for weeks. This plant combination includes the spiky, silvery-blue, egg-shaped flowerheads of Eryngium giganteum (Miss Willmott's Ghost), the misty froth of lavender-blue flowers of Perovskia atriplicifolia (Russian Sage), the delicate white flowers of Gaura lindheimeri (Beeblossom) and the fresh-looking pink Echinacea purpurea 'Rubinglow'(Purple Coneflower).

Fast-growing with bumblebees and butterflies dancing in attendance, all these perennial plants are low maintenance, pest and disease-free, deer and drought-tolerant, and make excellent cut flowers. Enjoy!
