A Low Maintenance Charming Courtyard

This low maintenance and charming, small courtyard is an inviting escape to Provence or Tuscany, with its plants and trees associated with the Mediterranean climate and planted among earthly colored gravel and stepping stones in a warm and simple fashion. Semi-formal with its clean lines and regular plantings, it retains a relaxing feel, with a retro styled wooden and wrought iron garden bench – a tempting invitation to sit and enjoy the scenery. In terms of planting, we note some perennial herbs like lavender, rosemary, thyme and oregano, which are delightfully fragrant. The terracotta pots filled with citrus trees contribute to the French, Spanish or Italian feel of the garden and add aroma as well.

Aside from being lovely and charming, this simple courtyard created by Studio H Landscape Architecture is inexpensive to realize. A big plus!
