Fuchsia 'Devonshire Dumpling'

Hanging Baskets and Pots

Award-winning Fuchsia 'Devonshire Dumpling' is a deciduous small shrub with a profusion of large double flowers adorned with broad pink sepals that elegantly reflex when the flower is open. Large and fluffy, the white corolla is flushed pink. Blooming non-stop from early summer to fall, both the flowers and fat pointed buds stand out against the foliage of mid-green leaves. They are produced in such quantities that the branches bend down under their weight. Attractive to bees and hummingbirds, this gorgeous Fuchsia makes a superb choice for hanging baskets, containers.

  • Recipient of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society.
  • Grows up to 18 in. tall (45 cm) and 24 in. wide (60 cm).
  • A full sun to part shade lover, this plant is best grown in moist, fertile, well-drained soils. Provide a deep winter mulch and shelter from cold drying winds. Protect from the afternoon sun in hot climates.
  • Perfect for containers and hanging baskets.
  • In early to mid-spring cut back the previous year's flowering stems to within one or two buds of the older woody framework. Also remove any thin, weak or dead growth.
