A Long-Lasting and Colorful Front Garden

Plant Combinations, Spring Borders, Summer Borders, Fall Borders, Winter Borders

This elegant front yard features a beautiful marriage of colors, shapes, and textures for a long-lasting impact, where the silvery-green rosettes of Agave attenuata (Fox Tail Agave) contrast gracefully with the blue-green, chalky leaves of Agave 'Blue Glow' or with the vibrant bracts of Leucadendron salignum 'Summer Red' (Conebush). On display in spring and summer, the showy blooms of 'Summer Red' are paired with top favorite Leucadendron 'Safari Sunset' whose fabulous red bracts will catch the eye later in the season, guaranteeing almost non-stop color in the garden. Another favorite has been selected for this planting, Grevillea 'Long John',  which produces almost endlessly large clusters of coral flowers year-round.  They cheerfully contrast with fuzzy, silver-gray Blue Fescue (Festuca glauca), dark Aeonium 'Zwartkop', pastel pink Echeveria 'Afterglow', and the graceful, rich burgundy-colored Fountain Grass (Pennisetum setaceum rubrum).

Created by Camille Beehler Landscape Design, this low-maintenance and water-wise front garden is a real masterpiece.
