A Small Asian Backyard
In a small space, every inch counts. In this 20' x 42' (6.5m x 14m) backyard, many places of interest were created in which to sit, wander through, and view. Regrading and raising one corner of the garden that "fell off", created a natural point source for the beginning of the water feature. The main fall funnels into a little creek, integrating a flagstone patio with surrounding planting beds - ultimately spilling again into a koi pond. Secret walkways, a stone bridge and benches beckon the gazing eye, or body to rest in this intimate garden.
For over 25 years Tim and Lisa have designed and built some of the most beautiful gardens in the Bay Area. Through artist's eyes and keen attention to detail, they create wonderful spaces to be in and move through. Each garden enhances the architectural style of the home they adorn, bridging interior to exterior living areas while accommodating the dreams and desires of their clients.
