In a small space, every inch counts. In this 20′ x 42′ (6.5m x 14m) backyard, many places of interest were created in which to sit, wander through, and view. Regrading and raising one corner of the garden that “fell off”, created a natural point source for the beginning of the water feature. The main fall funnels into a little creek, integrating a flagstone patio with surrounding planting beds – ultimately spilling again into a koi pond. Secret walkways, a stone bridge, and benches beckon the gazing eye, or body to rest in this intimate garden.
