Spider Flower Señorita Rosalita®, Spider Plant Señorita Rosalita®, Cleome hybrid 'Inncleosr' USPP 19,733, Can 3,29
Fast-growing, Cleome Señorita Rosalita® (Spider Flower) is a frost-tender perennial, usually grown as an annual, with open, terminal clusters of 4-petaled, lavender-pink flowers with fascinating long stamens that protrude out, giving them a spider-like look. The blossoms rise on rigid, thornless, upright stems clothed with palmate green leaves. Blooming over a reasonably long period, from early summer until frost, Spider Flower remains attractive in the cold season thanks to its dried flower heads. Unlike other cleomes, Senorita Rosalita is sterile and will not reseed in the garden. As an added bonus, it does not get bare knees, has no unpleasant aroma, no thorns, no sticky foliage, and has better disease resistance.
