Floriferous, Coreopsis ‘Red Chiffon’ (Tickseed) is a compact herbaceous perennial forming a sturdy, upright mound of finely divided, dark green leaves. Blooming continuously without deadheading from midsummer to fall, it gets covered with a profusion of sunny yellow flowers adorned with a vibrant red eye. The cooler the temperature, the larger the raspberry eye. The airy clumps of fine, threadlike foliage add a lovely delicate texture element to the landscape. This tickseed is sterile and will not seed around the garden. Tolerant of hot and dry sites, highly resistant to powdery mildew, it is perfect for borders and containers.
