Native to Central Asia, Fritillaria raddeana is a ravishing bulbous perennial boasting clusters of up to 20 widely conical, pendant, pale greenish-yellow flowers, topped by a crown of small leaves. They rise high at the end of an upright stem bearing lance-shaped leaves in whorls on the lower portion of the flowering stem. Blooming in mid-spring, this tall species is similar in habit to Fritillaria imperialis but more subtle and delicate-looking. Robust, easy, and reliable, it will come up year after year and bring its regal elegance to the garden.

  • Grows up to 3 ft. tall (90 cm)
  • Specimens that receive what they need often continue to flower year after year in the same location.
  • Plant in fall in a full sun or light shade area in well-drained soil.
  • Spectacular in groupings in beds and borders.
  • Deer and rabbit resistant
