Mangave ‘Blue Dart’

Blue Dart Mangave, Mad About Mangave® Collection

angave 'Blue Dart', Blue Dart Mangave, Mad About Mangave, Agave, Manfreda, Succulent Perennial, Evergreen Perennial, Blue Mangave

Noted for its blue color, Mangave ‘Blue Dart’ is a tender perennial succulent boasting a perfectly symmetrical rosette of thick, rigid, lance-shaped silvery blue leaves, tipped and edged with short, dark spines. Easy to grow, undemanding and evergreen, this Mangave makes a dramatic focal point or accent in the sunny border and in decorative containers.

  • Grows up to 12-16 in. tall (30-40 cm) and 18-22 in. wide (45-55 cm).
  • Performs best in full sun in dry to average, well-drained soils. In summer when the plant is actively growing, provide supplemental watering and half-strength fertilizer. Keep it dry in winter. Drought tolerant once established.
  • Great for beds and borders, rock gardens, succulent gardens or Mediterranean gardens. Ideal as an accent plant in sunny borders or in decorative containers.
  • Deer and rabbit resistant

Mangave is a cross between the genus Manfreda and Agave. These rare hybrids combine the best of both worlds: the better growth rate and the interesting patterns of Manfreda, and the habit and refinement of Agave.
