Cactus - Succulents

Browse our extensive catalog of succulents & cactus and find the perfect ones for your garden!

Cactus and succulents are popular plants that are well-known for their unique shapes and textures, as well as their low maintenance requirements. These plants are native to arid and semi-arid regions, where they have adapted to survive in dry and hot conditions by storing water in their leaves, stems, and roots.

Cactus: They are known for their unique and striking shapes, from the tall and columnar saguaro cactus to the small and spiky hedgehog cactus. Some cacti produce edible fruit, such as the prickly pear cactus, which produces sweet and juicy fruits that can be used in jams and desserts.

Succulents: They come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and colors, from the small and rosette-shaped echeveria to the tall and branching snake plant. Some of the most popular types of succulents include aloe vera, jade plant, and hens and chicks. Some succulents, such as the kalanchoe, can bloom multiple times per year and produce vibrant flowers in shades of pink, orange, and yellow. Others, such as the lithops or "living stones" plant, have evolved to resemble rocks to avoid being eaten by animals. The "string of pearls" succulent, or Senecio rowleyanus, has spherical leaves that resemble pearls on a string.

Cacti and succulents are really fascinating and unique plants that can add interest and texture to any indoor or outdoor space. They are often grown as houseplants or in outdoor gardens in hot and dry areas. They require very little maintenance, making them popular plants for busy gardeners or those with limited space. They prefer bright, indirect light and can be tolerant of drought conditions.

Cacti and succulents are not only beautiful and unique plants, but they also play important ecological roles in their native environments, providing shelter and food for a wide variety of animals and insects.
