Viburnum dilatatum Tandoori Orange® (Linden Viburnum) is a compact deciduous shrub of upright to rounded habit with a long season of interest. In late spring to early summer, the shrub is covered with a profusion of large, white flower clusters followed by showy, pendulous clusters of bright orange berries in late summer. In the fall, the handsome foliage of broad-ovate, wrinkled, dark green leaves turns attractive shades of bronze, burgundy, and red. A very rewarding shrub that is not only good-looking but also very tough and easy to grow. Plant two or more Linden Viburnums near each other to ensure abundant fruit production.

  • Grows up to 6-8 ft. tall and wide (180-240 cm).
  • A full sun or part shade lover, this plant is easily grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Tolerates a wide range of soils. Some drought tolerance once established.
  • Perfect as a specimen plant or for shrub borders, hedges and screens, and foundation plantings.
  • Attractive to birds and butterflies, but deer and rabbit resistant.
  • Low maintenance, this plant is virtually pest and disease-free.
  • Prune as needed immediately after flowering.
  • Viburnum dilatatum species is native to Korea and eastern Asia. It spreads by seed that is consumed and spread by birds.
