Awash with color, this walkway combines striking Mediterranean plants for a long-lasting floral display. Starting in winter, the delightfully aromatic Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) sparkles with clusters of tiny blue flowers. Its fragrant foliage releases its fresh scent when brushed against, making this plant a welcoming addition along paths. When its peak flowering season is over, Cistus purpureus (Purple-Flowered Rock Rose) takes the relay with its large, yellow-centered, purplish-pink flowers, adorned with plum-red blotches at the base of their petals. Although each flower lasts only for a day, this vigorous shrub provides a succession of flowers for weeks until early summer. It is paired with the fascinating, bold blue flower spikes of Echium candicans (Pride of Madeira) which will add majesty to the floral display and bloom to their heart's content until the end of the summer. Their bountiful flower clusters beckon bees, birds and butterflies to the garden.

All plants are evergreen and their pretty form and attractive foliage fill the garden year-round. Low maintenance, they are drought, tolerant and deer resistant.
