Easy and reliable, Alchemilla alpina (Alpine Lady’s Mantle) is a low-growing perennial forming a dense mound of pale green leaves divided into 5-7 leaflets that look like open palms. They are adorned with wonderful silvery edges and covered in silky hairs. In early to mid-summer, sprays of chartreuse flowers are on display. Perfect as a small scale groundcover, under shrubs and trees, or as an edging plant. Ideal for the rock garden, this charming and easy to grow Lady’s Mantle also provides a long season of interest at the front of the border.

  • Grows up to 6-8 in. tall (15-20 cm) and 8-12 in. wide (20-30 cm).
  • Performs best in full sun or part shade in average, moist, well-drained soils.
