Cenolophium denudatum (Baltic Parsley)

Baltic Parsley

Adding a delicate airiness to the summer border, Cenolophium denudatum (Baltic Parsley) is a lovely hardy perennial plant with profuse, flat-topped umbels, 5 in. wide (12 cm), of creamy white flowers, floating atop mounds of dark-green, semi-evergreen fern-like foliage. Blooming over an extremely long flowering period, from mid-summer until mid-fall, Cenolophium denudatum is easy to grow, vigorous, adaptable, and requires very little care. A favorite of designers, it gracefully mingles with other plants, adding unmatched elegance.

  • Drought tolerant, fairly pest-free, and disease-free, add this charming and graceful plant to the landscape, and you will be rewarded with abundant happy butterflies, bees, and pollinating insects!
  • Vigorously growing up to 3-4 ft. high (90-120 cm) and spreading up to 24 in. (60 cm), Baltic Parsley is an ideal addition to beds and borders, prairie plantings, and wildflower gardens. Excellent as fresh-cut flowers or for dried arrangements!
  • Performs best in full sun or part shade, in moist, well-drained soils. Tolerates full shade! Baltic Parsley is not fussy about soil conditions and tolerates clay and heavy soils.
  • Apply mulch around the base of the plant in the fall. Will freely self-seed under satisfying growing conditions. Deadhead flower umbels before seed-set to prevent spreading and to promote further blooming.
