Japanese Quince Double Take® Orange, Flowering Quince Double Take® Orange, Chaenomeles speciosa 'Orange Storm' PP20950, Double Take® Series
Chaenomeles speciosa Double Take® Orange (Flowering Quince) is a compact, rounded, deciduous shrub with abundant clusters of huge, double flowers resembling camellias, packed with up to 31-49 bright orange petals. Borne on thornless branches, they bloom in profusion over a long season extending from early to late spring, creating a brilliant floral display at a time when there is little to be excited about in the garden. The flowers emerge before the oval, glossy dark green leaves fully unfold in early spring and extend to the tips of branches. Very tolerant of heat and dry conditions, combine this pretty Flowering Quince with daffodils and tulips and enjoy a cheerful spring scene. Excellent for hedging, mass planting, and cutting gardens.
