Pink 'Eastern Star', Eastern Star Pink, Star Single Series, Dianthus 'Red Dwarf'
Compact and vigorous, Dianthus ‘Eastern Star’ (Pink) is a dwarf evergreen perennial with masses of clove scented, single, red flowers adorned with a dark maroon eye. Blooming from late spring to late summer (with regular deadheading), the showy blossoms rise on sturdy stems above a compact mound of grassy, silver-blue leaves. Easy to grow, and perfect for adding a splash of color in the garden, this Garden Pink is an excellent addition to the sunny border, rock garden or containers. Drought and heat tolerant.
