Creeping Juniper 'Wiltonii', Juniperus horizontalis 'Blue Rug', Creeping Juniper 'Blue Rug'
Regarded as one of the best ground-hugging Junipers, Juniperus horizontalis ‘Wiltonii’ (Creeping Juniper) is a sprawling, prostrate, evergreen shrub forming a splendid foliage mat of silver-blue needles, closely appressed to the long branches. In winter, the foliage takes on a purple tinge. This female cultivar produces fleshy blue cones. Slow-growing, this Creeping Juniper makes a wonderful specimen plant, and groundcover and looks terrific when cascading over walls. Perfect for rocky soils and hot, dry garden spots.
