Primula 'Belarina Nectarine' (Primrose)

Primrose 'Belarina Nectarine', Primula 'Kerbelnec', Belarina Series

Very floriferous and vigorous, Primula 'Belarina Nectarine' is a short-lived, semi-evergreen perennial forming a rosette of bright green leaves, topped with sturdy stems bearing large, fragrant, golden-yellow, double flowers adorned with an apricot pink blush. Blooming profusely from early to late spring, the upright-facing blooms look great at the front of borders or in containers.

  • Grows up to 5-8 in. tall (12-20 cm) and 10-12 in. wide (25-30 cm).
  • A full sun or part shade lover, it is best grown in humus-rich, moderately fertile, consistently moist, well-drained soils.
  • This plant is very versatile and can be used in beds and borders, cottage gardens, city gardens or in containers. Perfect for underplanting shrubs and roses.
  • A low maintenance plant (cut back after flowering). Watch out for pests such as aphids, vine weevil, slugs, leaf and bud eelworms, leaf-mining flies and glasshouse red spider mite. May be subject to leaf spot, primula brown core and grey moulds.
  • Propagate by division in fall or after flowering
