Tricyrtis ‘Taipei Silk’ (Toad Lily)

Tricyrtis ‘Taipei Silk’ (Toad Lily) is a shade-loving perennial of upright-spreading habit with stiff stems clad with glossy, dark green leaves and ravishing clusters of large, creamy-white flowers, 1. in. long (3 cm), adorned with violet-lavender edges and reddish-purple spotting. Borne in the upper leaf axils and stem tips, the blossoms can be admired from late summer to fall. Easy to grow and long-lived, this is an excellent perennial for adding late season color to the shade garden. Use it as an accent plant, container plant or ground cover in a woodland garden.
