Bambusa chungii 'Barbelletta' (Blue Bamboo) is a medium-sized evergreen bamboo with upright, tidy canes, up to 1.5 in. wide (45 cm), covered with a thin powder-like bloom, which gives them an elegant, soft baby-blue color. It is reported to be cold hardy to 21°F (-6°C).

  • A great choice for hedges and screens and containers.
  • Virtually disease free. Keep an eye out for aphids, cottony scales, and bamboo borer.
