Campanula 'Birch Hybrid' (Bellflower)

Bellflower 'Birch Hybrid', 'Birch Hybrid Bellflower

An incredibly eye-catching Bellflower, Campanula 'Birch Hybrid' is a vigorous, low-growing, evergreen perennial with masses of erect, violet-blue, bell-shaped flowers from early summer to early fall. They rise above a trailing mound of small, fresh green leaves. Well-behaved, this charming Bellflower is perfect for rock gardens, cascading over walls or containers. It will grow in crevices of a wall with a wonderful effect. Great groundcover too!

  • Grows up to 4-6 in. tall (10-15 cm) and 8-12 in. across (20-30 cm).
  • Thrives in full sun or part shade, in average, medium, well-drained soils. Prefers part shade in warmer climates.
  • Ideal as groundcover, for garden edging, cottage gardens, rock gardens or containers.
  • Easy to grow, virtually disease and pest free, this low care perennial is also deer and rabbit resistant.
  • Removing spent flowers will increase the flowering time.
  • Propagate by seed or basal cuttings. Divide every two years, in spring or fall.
