Campanula 'Summertime Blues' (Bellflower)

Bellflower 'Summertime Blues', 'Summertime Blues' Bellflower

Noted for its extremely long blooming season, Campanula 'Summertime Blues' is a clump-forming perennial with masses of large, pendulous, bell-shaped, silvery blue flowers from late spring to early fall. Borne on erect, burgundy stems, the flowers rise from a rosette of fresh green leaves. A well-behaved, non-spreading Bellflower that is perfect for sunny or partly shaded borders, cottage gardens, or small gardens.

  • Grows up to 10-24 in. tall (25-60 cm) and 12-18 in. wide (30-45 cm).
  • Thrives in full sun or part shade, in average, medium, well-drained soils. Prefers part shade in warmer climates. Needs regular moisture!
  • Ideal for beds, borders, cottage gardens, or containers. Plant in groups for the best visual impact! Excellent cut flowers.
  • Easy to grow, virtually disease and pest free, this low-care perennial is also deer resistant.
  • Cut back after flowering to encourage a second flush of flowers.
  • Easily divided in spring or fall.
  • Propagate by division in spring or autumn or take basal cuttings in spring
