Cistus x florentinus (Florentine Rockrose) is a compact, evergreen shrub forming a foliage mound of small, narrow, gray-green leaves. In spring and summer, this bushy shrub is covered with a profusion of saucer-shaped, white flowers adorned with golden-yellow stamens.

  • Grows up to 2-3 ft. high (60-90 cm) and 3-5 ft. wide (90-150 cm).
  • Easily grown in well-drained soils in full sun. Excellent evergreen shrub for gardens that get no watering. Drought tolerant once established. Heat, salt and wind tolerant too.
  • Great for banks and slopes, city gardens, cottage gardens, Mediterranean gardens, or as a groundcover.
  • No serious pest or disease issues. Deer and rabbit resistant.
  • Propagate by softwood cuttings.
