Noted for its blue flowers, Corydalis flexuosa ‘Blue Panda’ (Fumewort) is a showy, erect perennial forming an attractive mound of lacy, highly divided, blue-green leaves. In mid-spring, eye-catching, dangling, sky blue flowers are produced in dense sprays above the foliage, creating a remarkable contrast. Easy to grow, this Fumewort goes summer dormant in hot areas but can bloom right through to late fall in cool summer areas. Perfect for the shade garden.

  • Grows in clumps, 8-12 in. tall (20-30 cm) and 10-12 in. wide (25-30 cm).
  • Best in part shade, in moderately fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. Dislikes summer drought.
  • Virtually disease free. Watch for snails and slugs.
  • A great perennial plant for beds and borders, cottage gardens, rock gardens, or woodlands
  • Propagate by division in autumn
