Noted for its vibrant aqua blue flowers and long season of interest, Corydalis flexuosa 'Porcelain Blue' (Fumewort) is a showy, erect perennial forming an attractive mound of lacy, highly divided, blue-green, bronzed leaves. In mid-spring, eye-catching bright blue, dangling flowers are produced in dense sprays above the foliage, creating a remarkable contrast. Easy to grow, this Fumewort does not go summer dormant and can repeat flowering in late summer and fall. Perfect for the shade garden.

  • Grows in clumps, 10-12 in. tall (25-30 cm) and 8-12 in. wide (20-30 cm).
  • Best in part shade, in moderately fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. Dislikes summer drought.
  • Virtually disease free. Watch for snails and slugs.
  • A great perennial plant for beds and borders, cottage gardens, rock gardens, or woodlands
  • Propagate by division in autumn
