AGM Award
Diascia rigescens, Stiff Twinspur, Pink Flowers, Pink Perennials

Diascia rigescens (Stiff Twinspur) is a spreading semi-evergreen perennial of sprawling habit, forming a mat of light green, heart-shaped leaves and boasting erect spikes of two-spurred, salmon-pink flowers. Blooming profusely throughout the summer into fall, the blossoms are borne on stiff, four-angled stems that grow from the crown. Easy to grow, with a long season of interest, Diascia rigescens is a charming plant for the front of a mixed border, a rocky bank, a container or trailing down a rock wall.

  • Recipient of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society
  • Grows up to 8-10 in. tall (20-25 cm) and 10-12 in. wide (25-30 cm).
  • Performs best in full sun in fertile, moist, well-drained soils..
  • A welcomed addition to beds and borders, city gardens, cottage gardens, rock gardens or containers. Great for edging too.
  • Generally disease free. Keep an eye out for slugs and snails.
