Mandevilla Sun Parasol® Giant Pink

Mandevilla x 'Sunmandecos'

Mandevilla Sun Parasol Giant Pink', Pink Dipladenia, Pink Mandevilla, Evergreen Vine, Evergreen Climber, Pink Flowers

Mandevilla Sun Parasol® Giant Pink is an evergreen twining climber with a profusion of large, pale pink, funnel-shaped flowers, up to 5 in. across (12 cm), with deep yellow throats. Blooming from spring to frost, the blossoms stand out against the lush foliage of large, shiny green leaves. This tropical plant looks great in containers or climbing a trellis. Heat tolerant and evergreen in warm climates. In cooler areas, Mandevilla can be treated as annuals or grown indoors.

  • Grows up to 10-15 ft. tall (300-450 cm) and 2-3 ft. wide (60-90 cm).
  • Thrives in full sun in moist, well-drained soils. Appreciates some afternoon shade in hot summer areas. Water regularly to maintain evenly moist soil.
  • Excellent choice for arbors, trellises, pergolas, and containers.
  • Virtually disease free. Keep an eye out for whiteflies, spider mites, and mealybugs.
  • Prune in late winter or early spring. Shorten side shoots to within 3-4 buds of the permanent framework of branches to promote more compact growth and encourage the formation of flower buds.
  • May cause mild stomach upset if eaten, and sap may cause skin irritation. Wear gloves and other protective equipment when handling.
