Entire Marshwort, Yellow Fringe, Yellow Snowflake
Nymphoides geminata (Yellow Snowflake) is an aquatic perennial with almost circular, dark chocolate leaves, up to 4 in. across (10 cm), adorned with bright green veins. Resembling tiny water lily leaves, they sprawl across the water and create a lovely backdrop for the golden yellow, snowflake-like flowers, 1 in. across (2.5 cm), that arise on stalks above the floating leaves. Their upper surface is densely fringed and covered with frilly hairs. Blooming in summer, the blossoms add sparkle to the garden. Native to Australia, Yellow Snowflake is a colorful addition to ornamental ponds.
