Noted for its bold foliage, award-winning Philadelphus coronarius ‘Aureus’ (Mock Orange) is an upright, medium-sized deciduous shrub boasting brilliant yellow ovate leaves in spring, turning green with age. In late spring to early summer, its pleasantly arching branches bear abundant clusters of very fragrant, cup-shaped, 4-petaled, creamy-white flowers, 1 in. across (2.5 cm). Magnificent in bloom, this Philadelphus selection is equally attractive when not in bloom, thanks to its beautiful golden-yellow foliage.
